At the Belonging Network (formerly Adoptive Families Association of BC), we provide support, learning, and connection for adoptive and permanency families and youth from government care in BC.

BEGINS APRIL 8

Connect Attachment program

This 10-week program is for adoptive parents of pre-teens and teens ages 8–18. Each week, you’ll learn practical tools, strategies, and insights to help strengthen family connections and support. The next Connect Attachment program will run from April 8 to June 10.

Programs & workshops

Everyone finding or raising a permanency family needs special support. So do youth who are moving from government care into adulthood. Learn with us and gain the skills and confidence you need to navigate adoption, permanency, or independent adulthood. All of our educational opportunities are offered online so you can join us from wherever you are.

Introduction to Adoption and Permanency

This self-paced course is for anyone wanting to learn about adoption and permanency in BC, especially those interested in adopting from foster care.

Face to Face Connections: Online parent meetup with Andrea Chatwin

March 10: A virtual meetup for adoptive and permanency parents and caregivers to share experiences, support one another, and build community. This month, Andrea Chatwin will be joining to connect with the group and take part in the conversation.

Waiting Parents guest speaker session with Andrea Chatwin

March 18: An online discussion group for waiting parents to get together and explore a variety of topics related to adoption and permanency. This month, Andrea Chatwin will be joining as a guest speaker to share insights on how families can prepare during this stage of their adoption journey.
