Good news! You can now make a difference for children, youth, and permanency families in BC simply by returning your bottles and cans.
You’re probably familiar with BC’s Return-It Express program (those places where you can drop off your bottles and cans in exchange for a cash refund).
But did you know they have a program that allows you to direct your refund to a charity or other organization? The Belonging Network is now part of that program!
Here’s how it works:
- Place your unsorted refundable bottles, cans, and milk containers in clear/transparent 90L bags.
- Go to any Return-It Express location.
- At the kiosk, type in our phone number 604-320-7330 and print as many labels as you have bags (you can also print extras for future use if you want).
- Attach the labels to your bags and leave them at the Return-It location.
- That’s it! The money will be paid out to the Belonging Network automatically.
