Our IDEAA Statement outlines our commitments to inclusion, diversity, equity, access, and advocacy.
These commitments shape how we support permanency families, youth in and from care, and the people and communities around them.
At the Belonging Network, belonging is not just something we talk about — it is something we actively work toward. We believe everyone deserves to feel seen, supported, and valued.
With more than 50 years of experience, we know that families and youth have many strengths. Many also face challenges and inequities that require more than one‑size‑fits‑all solutions. This statement guides us in creating welcoming spaces, reducing barriers to access across BC, offering trauma‑informed supports, and keeping our programs low‑ or no‑cost whenever possible.
It also reflects our responsibility to listen carefully to lived experience and, when invited, to share what we hear with decision‑makers to help improve systems and policies.
This statement is a living commitment. We will continue to listen, learn, and adapt as we work together toward greater belonging for all.
