We’re thrilled to announce a brand-new, original online workshop series for waiting adoptive and permanency parents and caregivers.

Attachment, Grief, and Loss is a three-part online workshop launching this spring. It’s designed for waiting parents and caregivers who want to better understand how early relationships, grief, loss, and trauma can shape a child’s development.

The series looks at how children communicate their needs through behaviour, and how responsive caregiving builds secure attachment. Participants will learn to reframe challenging behaviours as meaningful communication and develop practical strategies for attunement, co-regulation, and repair.

By the end of the series, caregivers will feel more confident responding in ways that support a child’s long-term well-being.

Workshop details:

  • Format: Two 1.5-hour educational sessions, followed by an optional two-hour support group session
  • Cost: $25 for the full series
  • Audience: Waiting adoptive and permanency parents and caregivers

Registration is now open for the Spring 2026 session, running from May 20 to June 3, 2026.
