Face to Face Connections is a volunteer-led program that brings in-person events to adoptive and permanency families across BC. These gatherings give families the opportunity to meet others with shared experiences, create lasting memories, and build a sense of community.
Who Face to Face Connections is for
Face to Face Connections is for adoptive and permanency families who want to connect in person and strengthen their support network. Events are open to all types of permanency families, including kinship, guardianship, adoptive, and customary care.
Whether you’re looking for support, friendship, or a chance to spend time with others who understand your journey, these events offer a welcoming space.
Why join Face to Face Connections events?
Connecting with other adoptive and permanency families can make a real difference. Meeting others who understand your experience can ease feelings of isolation, deepen your understanding of your child’s needs, and boost confidence as a parent or caregiver.
For children and youth, these gatherings help build a sense of belonging. Spending time with peers who “get it” can help them feel understood, raise self-esteem, and make it easier — and much less lonely — to navigate complex emotions.
Where events take place
Most Face to Face Connections events currently take place in the Lower Mainland and South Vancouver Island. As our volunteer team grows, we hope to bring events to more communities across BC.
If there are no events near you, we’d still love to hear from you. Knowing where families are located helps us with future planning.
Upcoming events
Face to Face Connections events happen at different times throughout the year. Visit our main event calendar to check for any upcoming gatherings.
