Relational permanency refers to the enduring, stable relationships that children and youth in and from care form with important people in their lives.

In this one-hour workshop, we'll explain the fundamentals of relational permanency and why it’s so important to foster meaningful connections in the lives of children and youth from care. We'll also share valuable insights and tips to support families, children, and youth in building and maintaining these relationships.

This session will be facilitated by Ashleigh Martinflatt. With more than 20 years of experience in the permanency field, Ashleigh has dedicated her career to supporting the needs of children and youth in/from care as a clinical counsellor and university professor. She holds a Master of Social Work and is a Ph.D. candidate in Child and Youth Care. Most importantly, she is also a parent through adoption.
