Are you an adoptive parent of a pre-teen or teen you’re struggling to connect with? Whether your child’s challenges are shaped by trauma, emotional difficulties, or behavioural concerns, Connect Attachment is a free, evidence-based program that helps parents of youth ages 8–18 strengthen their relationship.
Over 10 weekly sessions, parents will meet in a small group led by trained facilitators to explore the parent-teen relationship and adolescent development. Each 90-minute session is interactive and collaborative, with guided discussions, role-play exercises, and principle-based strategies that encourage reflection and shared learning in a safe space.
Rather than teaching a fixed set of parenting rules, Connect Attachment focuses on core attachment concepts that can be applied to many situations and relationships. This approach helps parents learn new ways to respond to challenging behaviours and intense emotions, while building stronger, more secure relationships with their teens.
Couples are encouraged to attend together. After registering, our facilitator will reach out to schedule a one-hour Invitation to Connect meeting. This meeting provides a more detailed introduction to the program and helps ensure the group is a good fit.
