Andrea Chatwin from A Child’s Song will join us to talk about her new book, Healing Big Hurts. She’ll focus on the steps that come before trauma therapy, including how families can assess readiness and prepare for the journey ahead. This session will be recorded and shared after the event. Only registered participants will have access to the recording, which will be available for up to two weeks after the event.

In this author talk, Andrea Chatwin, co-author of Healing Big Hurts: Understanding Your Role in Your Child’s Trauma Therapy, shares the story behind why this book needed to be written and why parental involvement in therapy is essential for healing developmental trauma. Attendees will gain practical guidance on why parents must be active participants in the therapeutic process and how healing happens best when caregivers provide the safe container children need to process painful experiences.

Drawing from both her clinical insight and real-world experience, Andrea helps parents and professionals understand how caregivers can begin the therapeutic journey at home, preparing themselves as well as their children. This talk is designed for parents raising children and youth with developmental trauma, as well as professionals who support families on their healing journey.

When: March 5, 2026, from 7 to 8 p.m.
Where: Online via Microsoft Teams

As an added bonus, everyone who attends any of the three featured events with Andrea Chatwin will be entered into a draw to win a copy of her book, Healing Big Hurts, with one entry earned for each event you attend.
