Circle of Security is an eight-week program for parents and caregivers of children aged 0 to 12. It offers a visual “map” of caregiver-child attachment and focuses on strengthening relationships through responsive parenting.

Course outline
- Week 1: Welcome. We will talk about observation, fairy tales, and understanding that no parent is perfect.
- Week 2: Exploring children’s needs all around the Circle: bigger, stronger, wiser, and kind.
- Week 3: “Being with” on the Circle: the importance of feeling understood.
- Week 4: Being with infants on the Circle: helping children manage big emotions.
- Week 5: The path to security: attachment and “shark music.”
- Week 6: Understanding struggles: “shark music” and miscuing.
- Week 7: Rupture and repair: reflection, self-care, and reconnecting.
- Week 8: Summary and celebration.

- Attendance at all 8 sessions is required to ensure you gain the full benefit of the program.
- This program is for those who are currently caregiving for a child.
