Lower Mainland
Creating Community: Play and Social Time
Hosted by Cameray Child & Family Services | July 22 | 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Join other families at Confederation Park in Burnaby for fun play and social time at the playground. Light snacks will be provided—just bring water, sunscreen, and weather-appropriate clothing.
Arts for Me
Hosted by Cameray Child & Family Services | July 30 | 6 to 8 p.m.
Take a break from daily routines and enjoy a relaxing art session at the Cameray building on Rosser Avenue in Burnaby. This in-person workshop will explore strategies for emotional regulation and the calming power of mindful artmaking. No art skills needed—just bring yourself and take a moment to be nourished and refreshed.

Central Okanagan Dads Group
Hosted by The Bridge Youth & Family Services | July 26 | 7 to 10 p.m.
This in-person support group in the Central Okanagan supports dads who are parenting children, grandchildren, or other relatives by offering connection, education, resources, and opportunities to participate in healthy activities.

Nanaimo Foster Caregivers Support Mornings
Hosted by Caring Families Society | July 8 | 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Connect with other foster caregivers at the Caring Families Society Nanaimo office for conversation and support. These gatherings include coffee/tea, snacks, door prizes, and optional crafts or activities.
Nature Prescription: Greater Victoria Caregiver Walking Group
Hosted by Family Caregivers of British Columbia | July 8 | 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Join other caregivers for a leisurely walk around Greater Victoria. This walking group is a chance to move your body, lift your spirit, and connect with others who understand the unique challenges of caregiving.
Victoria Art Therapy Workshop for Family Caregivers
Hosted by Family Caregivers of British Columbia | July 9 | 1:30 to 3 p.m.
Held in the Birch Building on Chatterton Way in Victoria, this in-person art therapy session is designed to help caregivers relax, connect, and recharge. Through guided creative exercises, you’ll explore your self-goals and express your caregiving journey in a supportive environment.
Cowichan Valley Foster Caregivers Mornings
Hosted by Caring Families Society | July 16 | 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Held at the Cowichan Community Centre in Duncan, these gatherings are a great way to connect with other foster caregivers who understand the unique challenges and rewards of fostering.
Bridge to Belonging Playgroup
Hosted by Caring Families Society | July 25 | 12:15 to 1:30 p.m.
Located at the Oliver Woods Community Centre in Nanaimo, this playgroup is open to all central island foster families with children aged 0–5. These sessions will include play-based activities, a shared snack, and a structured language arts circle.

Early Years and School Age Navigation

A virtual peer-support session for parents caring for children with support needs. Share experiences, explore resources, and connect with others navigating the toddler and preschool years.
FASD – Thinking Outside of the Box

This virtual family hangout is all about empowering conversations for individuals affected by FASD and those who support them. Join for a safe place to share and connect.
Parenting Trans Kids in Tough Time
Hosted by Foundry | July 9 | 7 to 8:30 p.m.
This virtual workshop offers parents and caregivers a supportive space to better understand the rise in anti-trans rhetoric, explore advocacy strategies, and learn how to establish family as a place of safety and belonging.
Newly Diagnosed Autism
Hosted by Family Support Institute of BC | July 14 | 7 to 8:30 p.m.
A virtual gathering for parents of children with a recent autism diagnosis. Connect with others on a similar path, share strategies, and find support, empathy, and understanding in a welcoming space.
Adoptee Wellness Chat
Hosted by Adoption Mosaic | July 16 | 5 to 7 p.m.
A virtual community space for adoptees to gather, reflect, and process together in light of recent political shifts. This session offers a supportive environment to connect, recharge, and discuss how current policies affect adoptees—both individually and as a community.
