Join us for a fall outing at Laity Pumpkin Patch in Maple Ridge. Explore the corn maze, tackle the obstacle course, visit farm animals, and enjoy the family games area. Be sure to catch the hourly pumpkin cannon launch and stop by the pumpkin town for some great photo opportunities. This event offers activities for all ages and a chance to enjoy the season while connecting with other adoptive and permanency families.

Rain or shine, the event will go ahead—so bring your boots in case it’s muddy! Admission is $14 per person (ages 3 and up), with pumpkins available for purchase at an additional cost. Payments can be made by debit, credit, or cash at the farm.

Our Face to Face Connections events are organized by volunteers. A volunteer will reach out before the event with details about the meet-up location, and you will also receive their contact information by email the day before.

When: Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Laity Pumpkin Patch – South, 12725 Laity St, Maple Ridge

Why join the Face to Face Connections events? Connecting with other adoptive and permanency families can bring real benefits. Meeting others who share similar experiences can ease feelings of isolation, deepen your understanding of your child’s unique needs, and boost your confidence as a parent or caregiver. Through these connections, you can build a strong support network within a community that genuinely understands and supports your journey.

For children and youth, these gatherings foster a unique sense of belonging. Connecting with peers who truly “get it” helps them feel understood. Sharing stories with others who have similar experiences can boost self-esteem and build friendships, making it easier—and much less lonely—to navigate complex emotions.
