Looking to connect with other adoptive and permanency families? Join us for a fun family outing at Maplewood Farm in North Vancouver!
This event is perfect for families, especially those with young kids. Maplewood Farm is a great place to meet friendly animals and enjoy some time outdoors. We’ll spend the morning exploring the farm, meeting the animals, and chatting with other families. Kids will love feeding the bunnies (check the farm's website for approved food), and parents can relax and enjoy the laid-back vibe. If we have time, we’ll head over to Bridgman Park for some playtime and more fun!
Admission: Adults $9.90, children (19 months–16 years) $5.85. Parking is free.
Please dress for the weather and farm activities. Please arrive a little before 10 a.m. so we can all enter together and make the most of our visit.
Our Face to Face Connections events are organized by volunteers. You will receive an email with the volunteer's contact information the day before the event.
When: Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Where: Maplewood Farm, North Vancouver, BC
All families who register and attend a Face to Face Connections event will be entered into a monthly draw to win a $50 Amazon gift card. Good luck!
Why join the Face to Face Connections events? Connecting with other adoptive and permanency families can bring real benefits. Meeting others who share similar experiences can ease feelings of isolation, deepen your understanding of your child’s unique needs, and boost your confidence as a parent or caregiver. Through these connections, you can build a strong support network within a community that genuinely understands and supports your journey.
For children and youth, these gatherings foster a unique sense of belonging. Connecting with peers who truly “get it” helps them feel understood. Sharing stories with others who have similar experiences can boost self-esteem and build friendships, making it easier—and much less lonely—to navigate complex emotions.
